Spiritual ascension and friend issues

It’s been a wild ride lately with some pretty dramatic shifts in energy and mood. I have been seeing double digits everywhere, particularly the number five. According to one source, “in spiritual contexts, the number 5 often symbolizes change, freedom, adventure, and adaptability, representing a willingness to embrace new experiences and challenges.”

I’ve been cycling so rapidly I feel like a ragdoll being tossed about in the sea. One minute I’m falling asleep on my physio’s massage table, the next I have so much energy I’m pulverising everyone at badminton, the next I’m ready to smash a window, the next I want to bawl my eyes out, the next I’m drowning in sadness, the next I feel connected to everyone, the next I feel connected to no one, the next I’m on cloud nine, the next I’m nauseous and faint from anxiety and can feel all the chemicals ripping apart my insides, and the next I’m in pure physical hell. This can all happen in the course of a single day.

I have been having what I believe to be a spiritual ascension. There is a great article about five different types of spiritual ascensions on lonerwolf.com

Physiotherapy, touch starvation, sleep, adult babies, trust issues

“All that’s made me
Is all worth trading
Just to have one moment with you
So I will let go
Of all that I know
Knowing that you’re here with me
For your love is changing me”

Trading Yesterday- May I

Yesterday I had another session with my physio. He is always so kind to me (he even offered to look at my computer which I was having problems with; I told him I’d consider bringing it in so he can do some physiotherapy on it!). I’m always late and apologise, but he just seems happy I’ve got there at all. He did some more work on my TMJ, and was gentler than last time as he knew I had a few issues after the last treatment. He did admit that he did more than he was planning to last time because I let him and should have been more careful given how sensitive I am.

“It it ok if you take your hat off?” he asked me before he began. I was dressed up as an emo with a black studded beanie. I took it off and covered my face with it. I actually felt more comfortable like this. He preferred to see my face to gage whether I was ok, but I kept most of it covered with the beanie.

You are not too sensitive. This world is too brutal.

“What if I wanted to break?
Laugh it all off in your face
What would you do?
What if I fell to the floor?
Couldn’t do this anymore
What would you do?”

– NO NAME FACES, THE KILL

My ear pain since the otoscope has not improved at all over the past few weeks, which I believe is why my shopping addiction and other dysfunctional coping mechanisms have got so bad. I’ve been spiralling out of control. Last night I was panicking. I had a little voice in me saying “help me help me” as I impulsively threw away $500 and then tried to take back what I had just done, begging the seller on ebay to cancel my order and refund me. I was having trouble contacting them as I was not logged in when I made the purchase. I discovered a super cool Japanese clothing brand (help!) and was on some international version of ebay and made the purchase as a “guest”. Continue reading “You are not too sensitive. Shopping addict

“Hooked on this poison, trapped in it’s deadly scene. Lost in it’s cruel remarks. Every hit takes me further from reality’s reach.” Lost in the chemistry (Chris Brown Music)

I don’t have a great deal to report in this post. I have got into art again and have spent the last few days shopping for new art supplies online. It has become an extension of my shopping addiction, which was mainly fashion. I have an “addictive personality” as it’s been called where as soon as I stop one addiction, another addiction replaces it. I’ve been off social media, which I was addicted to, for a few days. During this time I have spent at least $2000 on art supplies, which will be way more than I will probably ever earn selling $2 badges through my small art business. I’m staying up all night shopping. Recently, I sat on the laptop for 20+ hours straight. I wasn’t even tired, though that next night I paid for it. I was nauseous and so sick and I wondered if I was going to die. Disorganised attachment with the mental health system

The mental health system has become like an abusive parent. I have formed what we call in psychology a disorganised attachment style with them. A disorganised attachment style develops when a child’s caregivers- their only source of safety- become a source of fear. The child no longer trusts the caregiver, realising that they cannot rely on caregivers to meet their needs. The child seeks closeness, but at the same time, rejects the caregiver’s proximity and distances themselves due to fear. That is how I now relate to the mental health system. I called Lifeline this evening as I sat by the train tracks wanting to throw myself in front of a train. I knew what was going to happen. I knew I’d be taken back to the hospital. I wanted help, but I also know there is no help there. When the police came I told them there is nothing hospital can do for me and I tried to run away. A male officer grabbed me by my coat and made me get in the ambulance. The two paramedics were lovely, but even when they assured me that they would try to get the hospital to actually help me this time, I had lost faith in these places. I paced around the hospital corridor and almost picked up the bin and threw it. I was given two yellow olanzapine wafers, which I spat out. I was finally given a proper bed in the resus room which was quiet and had a door I could close. Maybe I should have stayed there, but shortly after the nurse left I got up and walked out through the ambulance bay. I passed a paramedic sitting by the door and gave her a look which said “if you tell anyone I’ll strangle you”. Something told me to run. And I kept on running, until I felt sick with a metallic taste in my mouth and was about to collapse. I caught a taxi home at midnight.

I don’t know what to do anymore. I have all these people in my head arguing. I have voices in my head telling me to kill myself, starve myself, do it all by myself, turn to authorities for help, run, flee, be chased.

I find comfort in Missy Higgins “Where I Stood”. Even though it is about a lover, it speaks to my feelings around the mental health system.

“I don’t know what I’ve done
Or if I like what I’ve begun
But something told me to run
And honey, you know me, it’s all or none

There were sounds in my head
Little voices whispering
That I should go and this should end
Oh, and I found myself listening

‘Cause I don’t know who I am, who I am without you
All I know is that I should”
